Whistleblowing

The term whistleblowing refers to a system through which individuals working inside or outside an organisation can report to specific individuals or bodies of the entity a possible fraud, crime, offence or any irregular conduct, committed by other individuals and of which they have become aware within the scope of their employment relationship.

Lombardo S.r.l. has introduced a whistleblowing system in accordance with the provisions firstly of Italian Law no. 179 of 30 November 2017 and subsequently of Italian Legislative Decree no. 24/2023, which transposed European Directive no. 1937/2019, through the implementation of a system for making and managing reports relating to:

  • alleged or actual unlawful conduct, relevant under Italian Legislative Decree no. 231/2001;
  • alleged or actual violations of the 231 Model adopted by the Company;
  • violations of European legislation.

The rules of this institute consist in particular of:

  • protection of the confidentiality of the person making the report
  • protection against retaliation or discriminatory conduct by the employer against the reporting person.
